St. Rose’s Garden – FACEBOOK, FORDHAM SUSTAINABILITY BLOG.
St. Rose’s Garden on the Fordham University campus is alive and well. In April 2012, eight raised beds were installed at the Rose Hill campus in the Bronx to form St. Rose’s Garden. The organic garden living laboratory and social space was funded by Fordham College Rose Hill, Gabelli School of Business and Fordham Residential Life. Also assisting the project was Farm to Fordham, the Biology Department, Graduate School of Arts and Science, Sodexo, Security, Facilities, Environmental Studies and student volunteers.
These beds are used to grow a variety of fruits and vegetables including things like kale, collards, cabbage, tomatoes, peppers and broccoli.
