Rosedale Center and Biology Department win Changemaker Challenge Grant

Fordham biology students have teamed up with the Rosedale Center in the Bronx to teach girls ages 11-18 about biology at Fordham’s Calder Center. The property, which consists of 113 forested acres with a 10 acre lake, is one of the few research field stations in North America with near a large urban center.

The effort to tie the Rosedale Center mission to the Calder Center was initiated by Colette Berg, pictured here getting a 1st place winner’s award during the 2014-15 academic year from the Fordham Social Innovation Challenge Grant. She won $1,500 on behalf of the project.
